The motto of Providence Academy is the Latin phrase “Fiat Voluntas Tua,” the translation of which is “Thy will be done!”

The motto comes from words of Our Lord Himself when he teaches his followers during the Sermon on the Mount, “Moreover, when you are at prayer, do not use many phrases, like the heathens, who think to make themselves heard by their eloquence. You are not to be like them; your heavenly Father knows well what your needs are before you ask him. This, then, is to be your prayer, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:7-10).
