Fiat Voluntas Tua

Our Mission & History

Our Motto

The motto of Providence Academy is the Latin phrase Fiat Voluntas Tua, “Thy will be done!”

Providence Academy’s founding came about when our founders sought to do God’s will in providing a wholly Catholic and Classical education to children in our area. Today, the academy continues to strive to do God’s will in all things and encourages its students to do the same. As St. Catherine of Siena explained, “Be who you were born to be, and you will set the world on fire.”

Our Mission

Providence Academy Technology Statement

Technology is not a major feature of the education experience at Providence Academy. Older students are expected to take notes that are prepared by their teachers, usually on a chalk or white board. Learning and review sessions not requiring board work involve direct interaction with peers and instructors. Work at home will seldom demand the use of technology beyond the use of word processing for papers. Providence Academy strongly discourages the use of social media and encourages parents to limit their children’s exposure to screens at home.

Our History

Providence Academy is an independent school established in 2005 by a group of dedicated parents to assist in the intellectual, moral, and spiritual formation of their children and other families within the Coulee Region. The school is guided by a board of directors who are dedicated to keeping and furthering Providence’s mission. Class sizes are kept small: 15 students for the Lower School and as many as 20 students per class for the Upper School due to our belief that a low teacher-to-student ratio provides an immersive, guided, and amicable learning environment for students to grow.
